Contents of MappingSpec_AvevaPID.xlsm
PlantSight AVEVA PID Bridge works on the basis of the mapping.xml file, located in PlantSight AVEVA PID Bridge's root installation folder. The file can be changed manually, but is not recommended. Instead, modify the mapping Excel file and use the Create XML option (located on the first Excel worksheet) to generate the mapping.xml file in a specified path.
Tip: Before
trying to export
mapping.xml, ensure that the folder location
exists and that you have write permission to that folder. VBA macros are used
to create the xml file from the data in the Excel worksheets.
Note: Data columns, used
for creating
mapping.xml, are marked grey. Other columns
(additional data) help to use the document.
According to the AVEVA P&ID project structure, mapping can be grouped to 3 types: Class mapping, Property Mapping and Relation mapping.
